Bitcoin’s price fell on Tuesday, losing ground after a weekend rally as concerns over worsening geopolitical tensions across the globe dented risk sentiment, as did anticipation of more economic cues.

Gold prices fell in Asian trade on Tuesday amid some pressure from a rebound in the dollar, although the prospect of lower interest rates and increased safe haven demand kept the yellow metal in sight of recent peaks.

Most Asian currencies weakened on Tuesday as new Canadian trade tariffs on China ramped up fears of a trade war, while a rally in the Japanese yen was hampered by some soft inflation data. 

Oil prices fell in Asian trade on Tuesday, cooling after a strong rebound in recent sessions with traders seeking more cues on production disruptions in Libya and a wider war in the Middle East. 

U.S. stock index futures fell slightly in evening deals on Monday, as a rotation out of heavyweight technology stocks weighed on Wall Street, although anticipation of interest rate cuts limited overall losses.

A divided federal appeals court on Monday revived a lawsuit in which Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA), the electric car company run by billionaire Elon Musk, challenged Louisiana's ban on direct vehicle sales to consumers.
