Most Asian stocks kept to a tight range on Monday as focus remained on the upcoming earnings season, while Chinese markets rose in choppy trade after the People’s Bank cut rates slightly more than expected. 

Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, briefly reached highs of $69,000 before retreating.

U.S. stock index futures rose slightly in evening deals on Sunday, with focus squarely on a string of key earnings from the technology sector and more that are due in the coming days. 

Boeing closed a deal this month to sell a small defense subsidiary that makes surveillance equipment for the U.S. military, the company said on Sunday, as the planemaker looks to shore up its struggling finances.

U.S. stock index futures edged higher Friday, boosted by stronger-than-expected earnings in the September quarter by streaming giant Netflix.
