Bitcoin’s price fell on Friday, facing increased pressure from concerns over more regulatory action, while hotter-than-expected U.S. inflation data also weighed amid bets on smaller rate cuts. 

Gold prices rose in Asian trade on Friday, extending overnight gains as strong U.S. inflation data was somewhat offset by a soft reading on the labor market.

Most Asian currencies firmed slightly on Friday, while the dollar fell from near two-month highs even as hot consumer inflation data furthered bets on a smaller interest rate cut by the Federal Reserve.

Oil prices fell slightly in early Asian trade on Friday as stronger-than-expected U.S. inflation data sparked some doubts over how much interest rates will fall in the coming months. 

Boeing (NYSE:BA) said late on Thursday it filed an unfair labor practice charge with the National Labor Relations Board against the union that represents about 33,000 striking U.S. West Coast factory workers.
