The price of Bitcoin slipped on Wednesday as investors gauged the impact of weaker US manufacturing activity data and a raft of key labor market figures this week that could influence a major upcoming Federal Reserve interest rate decision.

Shares in Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) were down by 2.5% in premarket US trading after Bloomberg News reported that the company had been sent a subpoena by the US Department of Justice as part of a deepening probe into its artificial intelligence chip market dominance.

Tom Lee, managing partner and head of research at Fundstrat Global Advisors, said he expects stocks to face a 7% to 10% decline in the next two months, creating the so-called “buy-the-dip” opportunity for investors.

Oil prices fell on Wednesday, extending a plunge of more than 4% the previous day and hovering at their lowest since December, on expectations that a political dispute halting Libyan exports could be resolved and concerns over sluggish global demand.

Japan stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Transportation Equipment and Marine Transport sectors led shares lower.
